Lahu Shan - Loose Sheng - 2013

Rare, uncompressed Sheng (raw) leaves plucked from trees over 500 years old. Grown on Lahu Mt. and harvested in June/July of 2013 the long, bulky leaves and downy buds have a rich, mellow, vegetal aroma with hints of cane sugar. The complex flavor starts with bold fire-roasted greens and transitions to smooth, sweet hay over multiple infusions. This tea was featured in the ITCC Pu Er Cupping Event. Only 1 kilo of this tea was available. Brewing: 6 grams (2 tbsp), 210 deg, 1 min, 8 inf. An initial  10 sec. wash is recommended.
