Concubine's Smile
Gold Prize Winner for three consecutive years, this newly created black tea comes from Tong Mu village, the home of Lapsang Souchong black tea which is contained within the National Nature Reserve. The dry leaves have hints of rose petals and lichees, attributes which are manifested further in the full but delicate flavor of the infusion. Jet black, wiry leaves paired with tender, golden buds give this tea an especially unusual complexity for a black tea. Only one kilo available and was acquired directly from the maker in Wuyi Shan, Fujian province. Brewing: 4 grams, 185 degrees, 4 oz of water, 1 minute, 3 infusions.
