Lock Cha Anniversary Pu Er Cake - 2012
Commissioned by tea expert Ip Wing Chi for the 20th anniversary of his iconic Lock Cha tea house in Hong Kong, this Sheng (raw) type of Pu Er tea, is a special blend, pressed into the cakes in May of 2012. The flavor is immediately delicately sweet with follow-up notes of dried hay and earthy oak leaves. The aroma hints of the canvas from a well-loved tent but not overtly smokey. The astringency is light and brings a pleasant clarity.
