Meng Ding Huang Ya
One of most celebrated of Yellow teas, these extremely rare, flavorful buds come from Meng Ding Mtn., Ya An, Sichuan province. Plucked on March 20th from 30 year old tea bushes and made by award winning, 30 year veteran tea maker Bai YueHui in Xue Jia village, the tender yellow-green shoots give a rich roasted aroma with hints of cocoa. The taste is smooth and mellow with gentle but rich nutty notes. The infused leaves offer a pale yellow-chestnut liquor. Brewing: 5 grams (1.5 tbsp), 6 oz. water, 180 deg. 2 min, 3 infusions.
